Building the talent behind the energy transition

Throughout April, as part of Zelestra's FutureS program, we brought together volunteer professionals from our team and students from five public high schools across Sevilla, Zaragoza, and Guadalajara - communities where we develop and operate renewable energy plants every day. In partnership with United Way España, we delivered a series of online coaching sessions focused on the competencies that shape professional futures: growth mindset, motivation, communication, CV development, and interview preparation.

The energy transition won't be built by technology alone. It needs people - skilled, motivated, curious people - and the conviction that the next generation deserves a real seat at the table. That belief sits at the heart of Zelestra FutureS, our education program designed to open professional pathways for young people in the communities where we operate.

Throughout April, FutureS brought together volunteer professionals from across Zelestra and students from five public high schools in Sevilla, Zaragoza, and Guadalajara — the same communities where our renewable energy plants are developed and operated every day. In partnership with United Way España, the program delivered a series of online coaching sessions built around the competencies that genuinely shape a professional future: growth mindset, motivation, communication, CV development, and interview preparation.

The aim was never to deliver a lecture. It was to start a conversation. One designed to travel well beyond the classroom and into the choices these students will make in the years ahead.

FutureS

One program, a wider commitment

FutureS is one piece of a larger picture. Alongside Zelestra EmPowerS and Zelestra ReNatureS, it forms our 3Es Strategy: Education, Energy, and Environment. Three pillars. Three programs. One shared purpose: responding to local needs and supporting long-term, sustainable development in the places we call home.

Being present in a community means more than generating clean electricity. It means creating real opportunities for local youth. Protecting the natural environment around our plants. And building lasting connections between business, education, public institutions, and civil society - connections that outlast any single project.

Because decarbonization won't happen on its own. It needs talent ready to carry it forward. Programs like Zelestra FutureS are how we help build that talent, alongside the communities raising it.
