Zelestra, a global, multi-technology, customer-focused renewable energy company, is progressing in its commitment to contribute to sustainable development and decarbonisation by becoming a strategic promoting partner of Forética, strengthening the collaboration between both entities, since 2022.
As a promoting strategic partner, the company also joins the Spanish Business Council for Sustainable Development, whose mission is to lead business initiatives that facilitate the exchange of trends, challenges and solutions in the framework of sustainability.
In this regard the company, rated in 2023 as the world’s most sustainable utility by the prestigious Morningstar Sustainalytics rating agency, is taking on a more active role within Forética, participating in clusters, action groups and activities related to social, environmental and governance factors. This increased cooperation with other network partners will focus on developing long-term strategic solutions, driving the transition to a more responsible and sustainable business model on a large scale.
The company is strategically expanding from solar-focused company to a global multi-technology platform for energy generation and storage, including solar, wind, batteries and green hydrogen. The company has also reinforced its commitment to decarbonisation with an ambitious €5 billion investment plan to quadruple its size by 2026.
