The newly appointed CEO for our Latin American Business Unit aims to accelerate the growth of operations in the region, where the company has projects in Chile, Peru, Ecuador, and Colombia.

José Luis García Pérez, with over 20 years of experience in the renewable sector, has been appointed to lead the company’s expansion efforts in Latin America. He has previously served as the Chief Development & Construction Officer since 2022.

With this appointment, the company seeks to bolster its position in a strategic market, boasting a portfolio of solar, wind, and energy storage projects totaling 5.5 GW across Colombia, Peru, Chile, and Ecuador, with 889 MW contracted, out of which 621 MW are either operational or in the construction phase.

This strategic move aligns with the company’s strategy of empowering regional Business Units to forge strong local partnerships with customers, communities, investors, and other stakeholders, while leveraging the support capabilities of a global renewable energy company.
