Zelestra, a client-focused, multi-technology, global renewable energy company, has appointed Scarlett Álvarez Uzcategui as its Chief Institutional & External Affairs Officer. Scarlett brings to her new role an outstanding professional experience in institutional management, external affairs, and sustainability.
In her professional career, Scarlett has been CEO and owner of WiseconZulting for over six years, leading stakeholder management initiatives for key global clients. Previously, at The AES Corporation, she held the position of EVP Global Chief Stakeholder Management, Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) for over nine years. In this role, Scarlett led the corporation’s registration in the Robecosam Sustainability Index and received recognition by Latin Business Chronicle as one of the Top 50 Women in Business in Latin America in 2014.
Scarlett holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from the Universidad Metropolitana in Caracas, Venezuela), a Master’s in Finance and Capital Markets from New York University, an Advanced Management Program from IESA in Caracas, and a Certificate in Management from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia.
