We proudly stand for change, empowering communities with clean energy and creating sustainable futures. Our latest partnership with Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) marks a pivotal step in driving India towards its goal of 100% renewable energy by 2030. This 25-year PPA for the 435 MW Gorbea solar project in Rajasthan is set to make a substantial impact.
This collaboration will generate 755 GWh of clean energy annually from 2025, powering over 128,000 households and significantly reducing carbon emissions by approximately 13.3 million tons throughout the project’s lifespan. By creating local jobs and supporting India’s climate commitments, we are contributing to a brighter, greener future for all.
Leo Moreno, our CEO, highlighted: “With this PPA, we are demonstrating our commitment to delivering competitive, clean energy solutions globally and expanding our renewable portfolio in India. Our vertical integration and extensive experience in renewable project development enable us to provide top-tier commercial proposals for our customers.”
Sajay K. V., CEO of our operations in India, added: “This PPA is a crucial milestone for us. We are honored to collaborate with Solar Energy Corporation of India, providing clean energy to support the country’s ambitious decarbonization goals.”
Since 2015, we have successfully established a strong presence in India with eight solar photovoltaic plants. With this new PPA, our Indian portfolio approaches 1 GW, including 139 MW of operational projects, the 450 MW Anboto project, and now Gorbea.
Our financial partners enable us to support the needs of our clients and drive the transition to renewable energy sources.
