Zelestra, a client-focused, multi-technology, global renewable energy company, has appointed Jaime Burguete as Chief Development Officer. With an outstanding experience in the development of renewable energy businesses and projects, Jaime will play a leading role in the organization’s growth strategy, focusing on diversifying the portfolio into multiple technologies to reach a global pipeline of 45 GW by 2026.
With more than sixteen years’ experience, he developed renewable energy projects in 16 different countries, Prior to joining Zelestra, Jaime served as VP of International Business Development at The AES Corporation where he managed a project pipeline of 17 GW in more than 12 countries, issued NTPs totaling 3.3 GW, and acquired over 1 GW of projects. At Invenergy LLAC, as Director of Business Development for Mexico, and the Caribbean, he acquired the first wind project outside the US.
He holds a B.A. in Business Administration at Anglian University of Cambridge (UK), an Executive MBA from IE Business School (Madrid, Spain), a degree in Business Administration from the University of Seville (Spain), and a specialisation in Wind Energy from the School of Industrial Engineering ETS (Madrid, Spain).
